Well, a bout 3 years ago, I had a left hip replacement. Yes, my left hip bone was completely taken out and replaced with metal. This happened because of what medicine will call vascular necrosis of the femur head. It is when the ball of the socket joint in the hip begins to eat itself and wears out. It completely disable ones walking, standing, seating, you just name it. It is the most painful thing on earth!
