The Timing of GOD

I love GOD

.....He is just amazing, all encompassing and totally indescribable

I love HIS ways

.....His ways are not for us to understand,  ours is to wait and see where it leads and most times He supersedes our imagination

I love His timing
.....He is never early, never late but always on time

Over time I have realized that there is no use struggling with GOD, so I let GOD do His thing because He alone knows the future therefore His ways and His timing can be trusted. So, when He says something, I make the necessary adjustments even if I'm yet to grasp the whole picture.

Let me share an experience.....

Some years back, on a warm Friday morning, I walked into my office where I had worked for 4months and I couldn't shake off the feeling that I was walking into the office as an employee for the last time. Strange right...lol.
As I went about my duties for the day, I tried to shove it away but no way, it remained with me for the whole day. So, as I prepared to leave the office that day, I took all my belongings along. I kept asking myself as I was doing that  "Tope, what are you doing? Are you sure about this?" I couldn't explain, so I kept laughing but some where deep down, I was whispering out to GOD, asking Him what was next.

As I prepared to sleep that Friday night, I received a call.......

Let me rewind the clip ...*smiles*

Earlier that year, I was invited for an interview. I made it through the first phase, waited excitedly to be called for the second phase but I never got a call or an SMS. I just took my mind off, thinking it was impossible to make it to the third phase without taking part in the second phase
but as GOD will have it, weeks later, I got an SMS inviting me for the third phase. *I have seen GOD do wonders* The third phase went fine and I waited and waited for a call or an SMS asking me to resume work but as the case is most times, even after the usual promise of "we will get back to you" some people never get back to you and with time, you just let it go.

Fast-forward to the call

The call I received was from the organization where I had interviewed and the amazing thing was I was expected to turn up for training the next day and the coming week. I quickly reached out to my mentors asking for help as to what to do. I showed up for the training the next day, submitted my resignation letter days later (not without the commitment of paying them for not giving a one month notice) and I never returned to that office as an employee.........smiles. GOD makes no mistakes!

**********

This one experience taught me 3 major lessons:

*Deep down, we can tell when we are done with a certain phase of our lives but often, we choose to hold on to the familiar. When you sense it is time to move....move.

*GOD has our lives planned out accurately, His leading and direction can be trusted.

*When GOD speaks, it is best to obey. If it doesn't seem all so clear, reach out to His Word, your pastors, mentors, siblings and friends.
GOD has placed these people in our lives for a reason.

Without good direction, people lose their way; the more wise counsel you follow, the better your chances.

(Proverbs 11:14).

When we stay close to GOD, we know when to move or stay put and we also know the people and places to run to or from.

His timing is perfect!
