Mercy is all we need

I arrived home and walked into the house. Power was out, and the light from my phone wasn't sufficient, but I managed it and found my way around the house. I quickly fixed something for us to eat before Jane arrived home. She came just in time. I dished the food, and while we waited for it to cool down a bit, Jane had just gotten some new items and decided to do a little fash par...(Fashion Parade). I watched, and we both laughed.

*Friendship remains one of the best gifts GOD gave to man. Having a friend who sincerely laughs with you out of a pure heart is something to be grateful for.

Back to the story...

We decided to eat. Everyone had a spot where we sat to eat. So without looking, I moved down from the bed with my back to hit my spot and as I did, Jane shouted, and I moved back onto the bed and turned round to see what she had seen. I remained still for about 2 minutes speaking under my breathe over and over; "Lord have mercy".

Pause....

Mercy is one attribute of GOD I love. I realize that's the first thing that comes out of my mouth in times of danger or trouble. Back at Uyo, we woke up to the cries of fire one night. The sight was bad, and to worsen it, there was just one exit out, and the fire was at the exit. I just put my hands before my chest and kept pleading for mercy until GOD showed up.

Back to the story...

It was a large scorpion positioned to sting. It was waiting on the spot where I usually sat to eat with my friends. It was GOD who made Jane see.

...I look back, and I know mercy intervened.

Mercy is not for sinners, mercy is everyone, and I'm so glad GODs mercies are new every morning. Mercy will open doors you didn't knock on, it will give you what you don't deserve and so much more.

One thing I asked GOD for this year is Mercy. Why? Cos I have come to understand that it's not by power, not by intelligence, not by beauty, not by knowing the right persons, not by anything...if GOD doesn't show you mercy, then you are finished.

May His mercy speak for you in the New Month.

Yspot!

    1. Indeed, scary and reassuring at the same time. It was a strong reminder GOD was watching over us. Can't recall where Ada was that night. Love you too dear.

  2. Science can tell you why the seemingly imminent scorpion sting was averted: Jane's keen sight, your quick reflex, just enough lighting causing glare on the scorpion's shell etc. ...and that is fine.
When the probability of all these events aligning and working perfectly at that exact time is almost zero, ...but it happened in spite of the odds, then you know you have received Mercy.

    1. Hhahhhahaha exactly @ almost zero. Science always has a way of explaining the supernatural, however, we know the truth...
