Moments with Grace 2- The Faith that doesn’t disappoint.

Hello Fammmmm,

I am so excited and grateful that we made it to the end of the first half of the year. This is a good time to reflect on our journey and look forward to what lies ahead. As we begin a new month and the second half of the year, I have a wonderful write-up from my friend Grace on Faith that doesn't disappoint. It's perfect timing I would say, may this infusion of faith provide us with renewed hope and motivation to make the most of the remaining days and achieve our goals.

Over to you Grace…

Just thought to ask🤔

Have you ever come to terms with the reason why the blood of Jesus Christ is very crucial for every human being on the surface of the earth?

it is mainly because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and Jesus who is the blameless and precious lamb of God is the only one who can ransom us from the law of sin and death.( Romans 8 1-3)

Nowadays, there are so many people all around the world with diverse ideologies around who God is and how to access Him. Some say there are diverse routes to access God, or they need to see God before they can believe, others say they can live morally right and that accords them salvation. I want to seize this opportunity to emphasize here that no amount of moral living or self-righteousness can save anyone only faith in the Lord Jesus for our righteousness is as filthy as a rag (Isaiah 64:6). For there is no other name under heaven give to men by which we must be saved other that the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12)

Christ Jesus was sent by God the father to bridge the gap between Him (Holy God )and us (sinful men).

There is a hymn that says:

“How great the chasm that lay between us

How high the mountain I could not climb

In desperation, I turned to heaven

And spoke your name into the night

Then through the darkness

Your loving kindness

Tore through the shadows of my soul

The work is finished, the end is written

Jesus Christ, my living hope”(Phil Wickham)

Have you ever heard the phrase ‘seeing is believing‘?

This is the direct opposite of faith;

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.(Hebrews 11:1)

Faith is to put one’s complete confidence in the finished work of Christ just as Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him as righteous.

The bible says that without faith it is impossible to please the Lord (Hebrews 11:6)

The generation of Abraham started by faith and that accounted to Abraham as righteousness and so are we to continue in that faith that is rooted in the righteousness found in Christ Jesus. By strength shall no man prevail. Only by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3 also expounded further:

“And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham (Galatians 3:8 -9)

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:26-29)

Faith requires that we believe and then see and not see before believing just as the scripture says. Blessed are those who have not seen yet have believed as spoken to Thomas by Jesus (John 20:29)

We serve a faithful God who is Emmanuel (God with us). He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. I pray that our faith in Jesus Christ will continue to rise just as the heroes of faith in the bible. (Hebrews11:1-49)

To anyone who has not yet given his life to Jesus Christ. Now is the day of Salvation. All you need to do is to say this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner, I thank you  for dying on the cross for me, I believe you have nailed my sins to the cross and God raised you to life again. Thank you for giving me a new life. I invite you into my life as Lord and Saviour . Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. Amen!

Congratulations and welcome into the family of God!

Love and blessings!
