Generation De Next! Meet TOMMY TUSH
“An embodiment of creativity,
genius, innovativeness, gentle but charismatic, passionate and purpose driven, visionary,
excellent musician, great songwriter, a music director of repute, lively and
humorous, God-fearing, full of wisdom and integrity”…These
are few words that describe the man- Tommy
Tush.
Born Tomiwa Emmanuel Oyeniyi in
the ancient city of Ibadan and now at Under 30, he is already blazing the trail
globally. Growing up, he came from a humble but godly background raised up by a
Christian mother in the Baptist Church, he has since lived out the teachings he
got as a young boy which stands him out as a model of excellence, integrity and
fear of God to several people.
He is an alumnus of the
legendary Oritamefa Baptist School and went to bag a degree in Agricultural
Extension and Rural Development from the University of Ibadan. He had always
had a great passion and talent for music. He started writing songs at the
tender age of 4. And at High School had a certificate in Music tutored under
the acclaimed gospel artiste of the ‘80’s and ‘90’s, Evang.Toun Soetan who he
claims to be his “mother-in-music”.
He is well known for his
excellent songwriting skills. He has penned down thousands of songs for
churches, projects and other artistes. He writes all genre of music. He is well
known for the songs“Great God, Good God”, “Real to Me”, “Omnipotent God” among
others which have since blown like wild fire across continents.
He started his music ministry
and career in The Redeemed Christian Church of God as a drummer and then as a keyboardist
andlater became Music Director and Minister of Music at HarvestHouse Christian
Centre (HCC) churches worldwide, a position he has proven his worth, raising
models in worship as other great musicians have been off-shoots of “The
Anointed” (the music arm at HCC) and the music and worship at HCC has
become a standard and a benchmark by many other churches.
From HCC Abuja he
started the UndividedWorship Concert and Tours (UWCAT) which has caught
the attention of fans within and outside the African continent. With UWCAT
and the UndividedWorshipHouse Crew, he proclaims the gospel of Christ
through music from nation to nation, coast to coast. He is a concert worship
artist himself, handling various concerts across denominations. Notable among
which are the “What-A-love” concert in 2009,
“All-Hail”-the debut live recording concert of HCC and many more
He is a man with a coat of many
colors. He is a writer of repute, writing and directing plays and other works
of art. He also writes articles for blogs and journals. His books “Dynamics
of Inspiration”, “Chronicles of a Music Director” and “The
Stand-Out Music director- what they’ll never teach you in music school”
is a trilogy set to hit the world soon. He writes on his own blogs: MANicure4MENtality,
NoiseMakerz and The TommyTush Diary.
Aside writing he is orator and
a sought after public speaker at different strata and fields of endeavor. He is
a learning and development expert with training experience spanning over the
years and with several notable gurus in the field, and an Human Resource
personnel and has also garnered experience in the corporate world as Strategy/Business
Development Manager for Centre for Learning and Strategic Studies(CLASS)and
also as Relationship Manager in the banking sector.
He is presently the president
of Hemedy
Music City, a dynamic music and entertainment company that is
God-centered. This is evident in their mission which is “submerging the world in God’s
own music”. He runs with the vision to build pillars for God in the
music and entertainment industry that are blazing the trail. He is passionate
about building Africans by their products and speaking life with his music to
the world for the purpose of reconciliation of men to God, restoration and
empowerment, thereby raising an army that will acknowledge the Lord as God.
He
is passionate about soul-winning and sees everything done in the kingdom with a
singular end-soul winning.He is passionate about affecting the lives for the better
and loves to help get people on the path of destiny.
