Rest on Tosin & Swachet


Within the space of 2 weeks, two of my dear friends went home to be with the Lord. Both of them were same age and their cause of death was similar.

*TOL (Thinking out loud) :

 "A coffin is usually just a coffin when you don't know who is in it. But when a loved one lies inside, it ceases to be just a coffin, it becomes more than that".

 This hit me but I chose not to mourn like the heathens will do. Confident in GOD that I would see them again and acknowledging the fact that there is no failure with or in GOD.

 I'm eternally grateful our paths crossed
I'm thankful for the moments we shared
Although it's sad you departed so soon
I look back with gratitude for the major and strategic roles you played in my life.

TOL:
"Everyone GOD has placed in your life is there to fulfill a purpose. They are like bridges that makes it easy to network through life."

 "They might hurt you, get on your nerves sometimes and be sweet at other times. The main thing is to focus on the good in them and cherish the moments you still have together".

Tosin and Dorcas were bridges that were used to connect me to major phases of my life.

 Ibadan, HarvestHouse, Public Health etc are major parts of my life till date because I met Tosin. Moments shared during service year and masters will always be cherished dear friend.


And for Dorcas, she has always been in the picture, from Primary school to secondary and ABU; where she introduced me to the right network of friends when I got in. Friends who knew what they wanted and where they were headed.

*Getting it right from the beginning usually goes a long way to determine how you will finish". 

 *The company you keep can make or mar you. Having the right ones keeps you on the right track and vice-versa.

They were both amazing, pretty and intelligent young ladies. I can still see their beaming smiles and mischievous looks *smiles*. For what is worth, we take joy in knowing you are in a far better place than we earthlings.

"When last did I pray for these two and other friends of mine...hmmm in the name of being busy, we summarize family, friends and colleagues as loved ones while praying forgetting each one has his or her own needs and struggles."

 I am guilty also and I have decided to do better!

 Rest on Oluwatosin Odungipe Essien (Nee Ogunsanya) and Dorcas Swachet Onyiowoicho (Nee Kwasau).

Hello People, The first half of the year ends in few hours 💃 I look back and all I can say is THANK YOU JESUS! The first day of the year came with the promise of a travel gift from GOD. It was so clear, and I held onto it. Fast forward to the month of February, an opportunity presented itself but the timing was short and it looked impossible cos getting a visa in that short period seemed close to impossible. I almost let it go but I was encouraged by some friends to give it a try. As I mustered the strength to, I remembered what GOD had promised, so I equipped myself with it, booked an appointment and went to the embassy, the Wednesday before the due date for my trip. I walked to the counter when it was my turn to submit my documents. The lady I met, looked at me, and asked: “when are you to travel?” I replied “Sunday”. SEE YOURSELF THROUGH HIS EYES…. …She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above Rubies or Pearls! “Why do you always walk with your head down?” I paused and considered. This was a question someone asked me some years ago… the only answer I could muster was a sheepish smile. The truth is, back then; I was suffering from what most people battle with. Those were the days I had relied heavily on my big sister in order to dress stylishly. To me, she could do no wrong; she was the “koko”. Now I’m not saying she wasn’t (she still is) all that, but I came to realize on time that I couldn’t run to my sister every time I had to baff up.
