Zainat Salau-Ajiboye

These past few days, Zee has been on my mind and to top it all, her sister chatted me up to check on me few days back. It brought back memories. 😢

Zainat was a go-getter, intelligent and a kind hearted person who could go any length for the ones she loved. She was just different and her love for GOD was something else. 🙏

Why am I writing about Zee today?

I look back and see that indeed, the people that GOD brings into your life are either there to make you better or to do the opposite. Zee, added value to my life and I will like to share with you two major things that Zee, who I call Funky Exco did that helped shape my life.

Firstly, I was privileged to attend All Nations Christian Assembly while growing up, and without mincing word, I was given the best and major foundation that has guided and channeled the course of my life.

Another foundation was laid at Secondary school, another laid during my first few years at Ahmadu Bello University(ABU), and the next crucial foundation was laid when Zee invited me to Redeemed Christian Fellowship (RCF). At RCF, I saw another dimension of GOD and a yearning to be all He has ordained me to be.

*A house needs it's foundation in place to ensure the house stands well. The same goes with our spiritual experience - you need the right layer of foundation placed rightly per time*

Secondly, Zee was one of the few persons I send my writings to for editing before I post here on the blog. One day, back in August 2018 after editing the write-up I sent to her, Zee said "You are talented. Your writing skills are exceptional but this skill needs to be converted to riches." It hit me at the right spot and I went in search of platforms that required my expertise.

***

Zee,
We miss you, your funny jokes, your laughter and your timely words
You remain forever in our hearts
Your memory brings tears and joy at the same time
Your life was indeed an impactful one
You cannot be forgotten
Live on dear friend😘
