Be well balanced and always alert

I had to get somewhere quickly, and had to order a bolt ride, half way to the place, we got stuck in hold up. I was scanning through my phone when he was talking to the guys that sold stuffs by the road side. I looked up to see what he wanted to buy; a beautiful knife, and I watched as he pulled it out of it's scabbard, and the warning bells and horns began blaring in my head...lol

Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up
1st Peter 5:8 (MSG)

Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour
1st Peter 5:8 (TPT)

It is so easy to forget that the devil's job is to go about, seeking whom to devour, and he has been at this for a very long time, meaning he assumes he knows all the "koros"(short cuts) but he forgets that he was created by our Father. Still, never forget that and be well balanced and always at alert.

We fight a silent war and we need to be on guard. As opposed to the battle front where battles are fought on a field, the battle we fight is different, and it takes a sensitive and discerning heart to prevail over the devious and cunning plans of the devil.

How different is the battle we fight?

1. Firstly, the fight takes place in our minds, through the vehicle of our thoughts💭 To win we have to pull down thoughts, counter it, replace or override them asap, and ensure we speak out against those thoughts and declare what want instead.

Watch your thoughts; pay more attention to the thoughts running through your mind

Reason wetin you dey think💭

2. We are fighting unseen enemies who we cannot see but can see us. Picture that...The good news is that we have the host of Heaven whom we cannot see but can see the enemy on our side. They eagerly await our commands to step in and wage war.

3. The weapons🔨 are different, the enemy does not approach you with physical tools. He comes in with his fiery darts in a subtle manner. However, with our own weapon; the Word of GOD, we can successfully uncover his skims. We win with GOD's Word to win.

Be worded & teach your children the Word of GOD, it is too important to be ignored

4. The powers we are up against have been in existence for years. These ones have been here sinceeee, even before our forefathers. However, dwelling in us is the Ancient of Days, the very one who created them. With GOD in us we can do and undo💪

5.  The battle does not have a start and end time. It's a continuous battle, your adversary is always going about looking for whom to devour. Stay prayed up, don't loose focus or get distracted. Ever wondered why, you just finish praying and things get worse instead of better... He wants you to doubt the fact that GOD answers your prayer. Hold on and keep praying, the showers will be let down soon.

6. This battle is against an unrelenting enemy. When you think you have shined your eyes at him, he goes for a while but come back to test the waters to see if you have built more strength or you have relaxed.

The secret is to always be steps ahead of your opponents

This is not to scare anyone or magnify the opposing forces, no.. it's just a reminder to myself and every child of GOD out there that we are the Soldiers of Christ, recruited into the army of GOD, and no matter how fierce the battle may be, has been and will be, we know who we are, whose we are and  we know that we have the host of angels at our beck and call.

Don't get tired, don't relent...the battle is not yours but for GOD to fight

If you are wondering why we still have to fight to walk in the victory Christ has given us...I have wondered it myself lol (Excuse my English). Why can't we just enjoy it all with so much ease? You can drop your response in the comment box, if you will like to respond to that. Thank you.
