Moments with Grace 1: The Fruit Bearing Branch

Hello, everyone!

How has May been treating you? It seems like it's wrapping up on a positive note๐Ÿ˜‡

Do you remember our previous series, "Mornings with Grace"? If not, you can still find them here on this blog. These beautiful writings were inspired by my early morning drives to work with my dear friend Grace. I have some exciting news to share๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป: Grace will now be contributing to this blog on a monthly basis to inspire all of us.

So, without further ado, let's dive into our first installment.

Let us give a rousing ovation as Grace takes the stage. May her words touch our hearts and lead us closer to the divine.

Today, I want to talk about "The Fruit Bearing Branch"๐ŸŒณ

As children of God, we often find ourselves grappling with how to please Him and understand His perfect will and purpose for our lives. I want to encourage you by emphasizing that remaining in the Spirit is the only requirement for believers to bear fruit and avoid falling into the trappings of the flesh.

Jesus said, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned" (John 15:5-6, NKJV).

Anything that distracts you from operating in the Spirit is an enemy. We learn this from the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:1-23). In verse 22, it says, "The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful."

Instead of striving to do God's will, allow His Spirit to invigorate your mortal body.

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty" (Psalms 91:1, NKJV).

As you rest in God through prayer and the study of His Word, you will witness the activation of your faith and the daily fulfillment of God's will. Simply trust in the covenant love of God that never fails.

Romans 12:1-2 reminds us:

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—His good, pleasing, and perfect will."

Devote yourself to cultivating intimacy with God the Father and observe the amazing transformation He brings about in you.

Lastly, let us remember that bearing fruit is not merely a choice but a responsibility. This highlights the urgency to abide in Christ Jesus so that we do not become like the fig tree that was lush with leaves but bore no fruit (Luke 13:6-9).

May God's grace and blessings be upon you all!
