Moments with Grace 10: Rainbow for Christ

Was it just me, or did the month of February seem to move rather slowly? However, we are glad that the month is ending today 💃 💃 💃

On this edition of "Moments with Grace," she will be discussing the Rainbow for Christ.

The Rainbow is a symbol of God’s covenant with man in the book of Genesis 9:12-17 not to destroy the earth again with water as seen in the text below:

”Then God said, “I am giving you a sign of my covenant with you and with all living creatures, for all generations to come. I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds, and I will remember my covenant with you and with all living creatures. Never again will the floodwaters destroy all life. When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth.” Then God said to Noah, “Yes, this rainbow is the sign of the covenant I am confirming with all the creatures on earth.” Genesis‬ ‭9‬:‭12‬-‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The concept behind the rainbow colors serves as God's divine sign for humanity. Despite scientific attempts to explain it, we acknowledge that science merely elucidates the power of God. God, who created the rain and the sun, determines when the rain falls and when the sun shines. The appearance of the rainbow is His divine indication of the covenant of grace with humanity.

God's instructions await our obedience, reminiscent of the days of Noah. Even when there is no visible sign of rain, our task is to build the boat, in preparation for the return of Christ Jesus. This involves placing our faith in the grace bestowed upon humanity through Jesus Christ and entering the ark before it becomes too late.

The church will not relinquish the use of the rainbow despite its current associations with non-biblical worldviews. As believers, we understand its significance, and we will persist in glorifying God when we encounter it. Some biblical scholars have elucidated that it symbolizes God's common grace, accessible to all.

The Bible says that the throne of God is encircled with rainbow which gives us a picture of His beauty and holiness “Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD.” Ezekiel 1:28

Take thy glory oh God of all creation for we acknowledge your Lordship over the heavens, the earth, the skies and seas.

The rainbow is more than just a symbol; it is a tangible manifestation of God's faithfulness. We are guaranteed God's ongoing presence in our lives, even when we may feel overlooked or disheartened by the challenges of this world.

The Lord Jesus, who loves all of us, desires to establish a meaningful relationship with anyone willing to accept Him as their Lord and Savior and live in obedience to His teachings.

Today is the day of salvation; it's time to embark on the boat of Christ. A time is approaching when the earth will be dissolved, and only the boat of Christ Jesus can save humanity.

Let's reclaim the rainbow colors for Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior, proudly using them for God's glory and sharing their true meaning with those who may not fully understand. God’s love and blessings!

Shalom Shalom
