Get inspired with Yspot!

Hi everyone,

It’s the beginning of another week and we have God to thank for keeping and bringing us this far. Last week was great and I believe this week will be so much better for all of us.

On Yspot! Sundays are meant for inspirational write ups. So here we go.  Today it's yspot in the House.

In the course of the previous week I boarded a bus and was heading for PHCN (Power Holding Company of Nigeria) at Dugbe, Ibadan. While in the bus an argument ensued between the conductor and a passenger over N10…..N10 pere (only). It was really embarrassing to watch two elderly people quarrel over N10. It seems to me that we often forget who we are, whose we are and all that God has made ours through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. It hurts to see Christians live way below Gods expectation for them; I’m also guilty of that.

It seems we have our minds filled with the notion that when we struggle and suffer, only then can we truly be considered Christians. What a faulty indicator to use! Why do we think the disciples were called Christians? ‘cos people could see from their lifestyles that they had been with Christ and belonged to Him. Also because signs and wonders followed them. The Disciples were different not because they were disadvantaged rather because they were advantaged. They excelled at their profession, Peter at fishing, Matthew at tax collecting and Luke a famous physician back then. They had access to and enjoyed the good things that made life enjoyable in their time. So why should we be any different? It should be much better us.... Zech 8:23.

I agree that we are foreigners, passing through this earth but that doesn't mean we should settle for less or remain at ease while we live a life of struggle, not minding the fact that Gods divine power has made available to us all that pertains to life and godliness. The fact that we are ambassadors here means the best of this land is at our disposal.

How do I know that? Take a look at ambassadors that are sent as representatives from their countries to yours and mine. Do they look tattered, weary, downtrodden or poor? Capital NO!....lol. They are given the best. They make them feel at home away from home… suffering ke, that’s far from them, they don’t struggle neither do their children. They enjoy the best because they know it’s been made available.

Same for us you know, God has sent us as ambassadors to earth and while we are down here representing Him, he has made it possible for us to feel at home away from home, which is experiencing heaven while on earth. Well it’s a choice; he gave us a free will so we can choose either to enjoy Heaven on earth or struggle through earth on earth. I can’t imagine an ambassador from US to Nigeria, choosing to go through all the stressful conditions in Nigeria when he has been provided with all that he needs to live a stress-free life. Imagine him running and struggling with passengers to board a bus or living in a village with poor living conditions and inaccessible roads. Shaking my head for him! We can’t choose to remain ignorant anymore.

Well for now, it’s our duty, not to neglect our embassies (our Churches) and our fellow citizens (other believers). We ought to make constant trips to our embassies as often as we can so that we and our fellow citizens can spend time together, communicating and giving allegiance to our leaders (The Trinity) and also seeking ways to make non-citizens become one. All the while ensuring our banner/flag (The Holy Spirit) and our seal flies high for all to see and realize that indeed we are citizens of a better country, a country populated by throngs of festive angels, a country who’s Architect and Builder is God.

Go ahead and enjoy the Heaven on Earth experience this week and Yes, you can listen to Heaven  on Earth by Micah Stampley.

love you all
